Forty members from the Made in the Midlands family joined today’s Virtual Breakfast morning with Gold Member Comau UK. The event began bright and early at 9 am, with manufacturers joining from across the Midlands region to network.
While the current situation may have undoubtedly brought with it some unprecedented challenges, the resilience and enthusiasm of the Midlands Manufacturing sector could be seen and heard clearly through the positivity of our members in attendance, who shared their current experiences, best practices and advice with one another.
Coma UK are world leaders in the field of industrial automation, with the saying that they’re ready to accept any challenge and to face it together.
This virtual event began with an introduction from John Coombes, the Managing Director of Comau UK, who gave the Midlands member an insight into how the company runs, it’s global nature, and the range of products that it offers.
The Made in the Midlands team then placed attendees into atwo 15-minute breakout groups of between 4 and 5 members each, allowing them to have more personalised conversations in smaller groups with discussions around working from home, business practices and their plans for the Backing Britain Live 2020 exhibition among topics discussed.
Made in the Midlands is a community of more than 450 Midland-based manufacturers. Combined with sister brand Made in Yorkshire, the Made in Group represents more than 600 industries and supporters of British manufacturing.
